Blog: Coors Field and Waterfront Stadium, Similar Stories

Orland Kurtenblog - The KB isn't really the place to get into a serious debate about, well, anything. But for those interested in the progress (or lack thereof) of the Whitecaps new waterfront stadium, here's an interesting story about Coors Field, the baseball stadium that's home to the Colorado Rockies.

The parallels are actually quite amazing. The stadium was built in a rough area of town called LoDo, a decision that certain politicians didn't think wise. There were parking concerns as well as future development worries. Heck, there's even a rail yard involved.
