22,798 VOTES CAST TO SELECT AN ALL-TIME WHITECAPS/86ERS STARTING 11
lIn 2004 the Vancouver Whitecaps FC celebrated its 30th anniversary of professional soccer in Vancouver and the 25th anniversary of the Whitecaps winning the 1979 NASL Soccer Bowl Championship this year. In honour of these milestones the club held a vote to determine the best players in Vancouver history, by selecting an all-time starting 11 roster.
Members of the Vancouver sports media narrowed the field of alumni and current Whitecaps to a list of 29 possible players for the selection of a starting 11.
