The Whitecaps are currently seeking energetic soccer enthusiasts to fill many exciting volunteer positions on game days at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby. Volunteers over the age of 16 are preferred as there are limited spaces available for younger applicants.

Volunteer Job Assignment
Assignment will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We will try to accommodate your first choice but alternate committees should be listed in case your first choice is filled. Volunteer descriptions are listed below. Some volunteer committees have a minimum age requirement.
| 50/50 Ticket Sales |

Assist with the selling of 50/50 tickets throughout the stadium (concourse, grandstand, VIP) from gates open until the end of half-time. Volunteers may be required to assist the chair with ticket distribution, training and other duties as required. Outgoing individuals preferred. |

Access Control |

Limit access to certain areas of the Stadium including locker room, VIP area, autograph signing sessions, and other secured areas. Also assist with helping to monitor vehicle access in the three designated parking areas. |
| Admissions |

Check tickets at the Stadium entrances and assist with promotional giveaways as guests enter the stadium. |
| Ambassadors |
OPEN |
Responsible for hospitality and the comfort of guests before, during, and after the game. |
| Program Sales |
OPEN |
Sell game programs throughout the stadium (concourse, grandstand) from gates open until the beginning of the game. Sell programs throughout the concourse until the 20-minute mark of first half. Must be outgoing and enthusiastic. |
| Runners |
OPEN |
(Preference will be given to individuals with previous experience.) Assigned to various areas including home & away bench, referees bench, press box & announcers booth. Assist with providing supplies and communication as needed. |
| Stretcher Bearers |
OPEN |
Responsible for the safe removal of injured players from the playing pitch. Preference will be given to those with first aid experience and certification. Individuals should be capable of lifting heavy loads. |
| Stadium Decorating Committee |

Responsible for decorating the stadium with balloons, banners etc throughout different areas of the stadium on game day, and well as taking the decorations down after the game. |
| Ushers |
OPEN |
Locate at entrances/exits to grandstand and bleacher seating and direct guests to their seats, as well as assist in Program Sales as needed. Good communication skills and assertiveness an asset. |
| Volunteer Centre |

Oversee volunteer check-in, food & beverage and volunteer lounge. |
| Volunteer Pool |
OPEN |
Assist with any of the roles outlined above on an as needed basis. |
Volunteer Commitment
Volunteers are required to work a minimum of 10 games from April – September. Games typically take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 7:00pm. Volunteers are expected to be at the Stadium 30-60 minutes before the gates open to the public. Please be prepared to commit to these times if you sign up to volunteer.
