Match Two

Day #5
Hey there, coming once again from my hotel room in Dallas.
Today was an earlier start for us, with kickoff at noon instead of 2, we pushed everything back a couple of hours. Going into the game today the guys were all excited to show that we have the ability to come back from a disappointing loss and put in a good performance, and I think that is what we did.
It was difficult to play in the wind today. Balls were hard to judge, however, both teams had to deal play in the same conditions, so we cant use it as any kind of excuse. It was good to go up 2-0 with 2 great goals from Randy, but I've always thought that being up 2-0 is one of the worst leads you can have. This is because all the other team has to do is score one, and they have all the momentum. We had chances to put the game away at 3-0; Dever had two shots which he could not have hit any better, the Chivas goalie just made 2 fantastic saves. Even though we were disappointed after the game, and rightfully so, we came out of the games with our heads up.
The morale within the boys is still good, we know we still have a chance to go through as a wildcard, we just need to focus on the next game, and hopefully have some luck on our side with the other groups games. Tomorrow is our day off, which is coming at a good time for us, we will use the day to rest and get prepared for the game against Frankfurt on Wednesday.
Anyways, I'm going to be late for a meeting, I better get going.
Take care, talk to you later.
