Day #8

Hello once again, hope your all doing well.

Today was probably the nicest day weather-wise since we've been here, must have been up to 25 degrees and sunny...

We started today with a video session led by Thomas in where we went over game film from our recent match against Frankfurt, as well as video from our next opponent Leicester City's previous game against Sao Paulo of Brazil.  It was a very productive 2 hours, its always a lot easier to see rather than to hear, so we all took in the information which was presented to us.  After our meeting we headed to lunch at a nearby restaurant which was littered with T.V's all showing March Madness Basketball. it's always exciting to see some early round upsets.  We then headed to Richland College for a light training session.  After mainly shaking the legs out and knocking the ball around, we had a crossbar challenge.  If you have never seen or done one, teams of 2 all line up at the 18 yard box and continuously try and hit the crossbar, last one to do it loses, and generally has some sort of punishment to do afterwards.  In this case, the losers were Joe's assistants for the day, helping with laundry and carrying equipment etc.  I was paired with Devin Gunenc, and needless to say we were the first to ping the bar, I can't take credit for it though, Devin hit it on his first shot.  The losers were Drew Russell and Dever Orgill, its true that cheaters never prosper.....

Later on we went to Pizza Hut Park to watch the semi-final between Liverpool and Benfica.  Liverpool took an early lead and took it into the second half, where in that half Benfica started to press and equalized.  As the game wore on, mostly everyone thought Benfica would have enough to win, they were pressing Liverpool for most of the second half.  Against the run of play though, the English squad scored in the 87th minute to go on to the finals on Sunday...

Other than that, I don't have much else for you, as I said earlier we have Leicester City tomorrow morning, so I should be getting some sleep.
Take care, talk to you soon.

Adam
