G'day!
Today marks the last day of our Seattle road trip, and our game against the Seattle Sounders at 7pm tonight.
Yesterday was a pretty quiet day, we went for a late breakfast and then headed to the pitch for a mid-day training session. The sun was out and it felt really good to be outside training. The guys who played more than 45 minutes against Portland didn't do too much, basically just some 5 v. 2 keep away, a bit of finishing, and then a cool down and stretch. Those of us who didn't play as much did a bit more work in front of the goals and finished with a 3 v. 3 game.
After training we hit the showers and went back to the hotel for a bit of spare time before dinner. Spare time in our room (Stefan Leslie and I) usually involves a combination of psp boxing, watching some telly or getting some reading done. For dinner we went to a Thai place that turned out to be quite nice, and then it was back to the hotel for a good sleep in preparation for Seattle today.
So far today we have had a good breakfast and a really good lunch at The Hilton, which is just next door to our hotel. Now everyone is just in their rooms relaxing and starting to get focused for tonight's game against Seattle. It is our last game against a league opponent before our season opener on April 12th, and so obviously it is a very important match for us. And on that note, I think I'll go do the same.
I'll check in again tomorrow morning (actually probably closer to afternoon, we'll probably only get home at about 2am on Sunday morning) and let you know how the game went.
Cheers,
Luca
