Final Day - Day #10

Final Day, Day #10.
Coming again, and for the last time, in my hotel bed in Dallas, Texas.
Today started with our regular breakfast buffet, followed by a short meeting. We then had the morning off where most of us went back to bed - breakfast comes too early for the majority of us. In the afternoon we had a video session, which by the way could not have been made possible without our documentary filmmaker Harvey. He's been providing us with great footage from our games as well as off the field moments. After the meeting we hopped in the vans and headed back out to Pizza Hut Park to catch the finals between Liverpool and Tigres of Mexico. As anticipated, Liverpool had complete control of the game, and won the tournament on a convincing score of 3-0.
In the end, this trip has been a great experience for all of us. We have shown that we can play with some of the top developmental youth teams in the world, and I think all of us have gained confidence in each other and most of all in ourselves. As we have pointed out to each other though, we want to be able to not just compete with these teams, but to be able to raise above them, and this can only come with hard work up on the hill of SFU. We are now looking onward to the next phase of the year, another trip to Germany, and the start of our PDL season, along with a number of competitive exhibition games against local teams.
That's about it from me, hope you all enjoyed the blogs...
Wish you all the best, talk to you soon
Adam
