Be a crucial and integral part of Whitecaps FC’s award winning marketing/digital department and the fastest growing sport in North America. We are seeking a Social Media Coordinator who will be responsible for content for all our social media channels and be an active member of the Whitecaps FC’s marketing and digital department team of 13 people.

Qualifications:

  • You probably have a degree in marketing, new media or the like.
  • You have expert knowledge of social networking channels and how they work
  • You have a couple of years of experience working with social media

TICKET OPERATIONS

 

Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is seeking an outstanding achiever to provide a wide variety of duties involved in our ticketing department in our front office. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in computerized ticketing systems and database management.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the ticketing system for all Vancouver Whitecaps ticketing needs, including training of new staff; assisting in the box office; completing ticketing requests
  • Build and manage events within the ticketing system, including inventory control, processing ticket requests for season, packages, group and coordination of season ticket packaging
  • Liaise with technology and ticketing suppliers
  • Manage special projects
  • Manage the ticket database for the purpose of maintaining client relations, direct marketing to prospects
  • Manage ticket inventory and on-line sales through the implementation of Archtics CRM and partnerships with third party ticket partners.
  • Assist and maintain reports in the areas of sales, renewals, compensation, game reports, and ticketing revenue totals
  • Other duties as required

Skills and Expertise:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of ticket operations
  • Ticketmaster Archtics experience preferred
  • High proficiency in reporting and spreadsheet software required
  • CRM Database management experience an asset
  • Good Oral and Written communication skills required
  • Customer relation and conflict resolution skills

Compensation:

  • Full-time, salaried position, with benefits package

ADMINISTRATOR, SOCCER DEVELOPMENT

 

Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is seeking an outstanding achiever to provide a wide variety of administrative assistance for the club’s development and community programs.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in providing mid-level support and office management in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

General Duties

You are the “go to” individual in the Soccer Development office. Along with supporting the office staff with general administration, your daily routine will include some of the following responsibilities:

  • Program administration for our Academies, Camps and High Performance Teams (includes registrations, customer service, reporting, event support, communications/publicity and marketing, as well as working with all other WhitecapsFC department staff who support development program delivery);
  • Support for all coaching staff (includes coaching/player travel arrangements, preparing and updating team/registration lists, ensuring risk management and liability precautions are in place);
  • Scheduling program and camp activities, calendar coordination;
  • General support and assistance with the delivery of all activities;
  • Financial coordination for the department and all programs (includes travel claims and expense reports; statistical data accumulation and reporting; registration fee collection/reconciliation.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three (3) years related experience working in an administrative support role with financial responsibilities;
  • Post-secondary education is an asset; combination of educational courses/training and experience in an office environment will be considered;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize, accounting for both planned and unplanned projects;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Experience with diversified on-line registration systems preferred;
  • “Can do” attitude, with a willingness to assist in all areas of the department operations when required.

SOCCER DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

 

Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is seeking a proactive achiever to provide management and execution of specialized development programs as well as services support for the High performance programming in Soccer Development.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in the detailed management of multiple projects in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

General Duties

You are the lead person for specialized program in the Soccer Development department including overall management and execution of tournaments, Academy Centre Weekends and Speciality Camps.

You will also provide support services to the department’s high performance programs Boys Residency and girl’s elite.

Your daily routine will include management of some of the following responsibilities:

  • Management of the club tournaments including Communication and promotion of registration, database coordination, materials preparation, scheduling and programs execution.
  • Management of Academy centre visits including communications with coaches, staff, players and parents, as well as overseeing travel arrangements, bookings and itinerary and providing on site management.
  • Execute specialty camp opportunities as well as managing all details including facilities, equipment, staff, and budget and customer service.
  • Provide support to the boy’s residency and girl’s elite programs through overall communication with players and parents and Support travel planning and services Support the management of apparel inventory including running reports for Academy apparel orders and shipping.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education is an asset; combination of educational courses/training and experience in program management and execution will be considered;
  • The ability to thrive as a quick thinking multi-tasker. Previous experience working in a fast-paced, multi-level, project based environment with emphasis on customer service, timelines and delivery is an asset
  • Excellent understanding of, and the ability to work with Microsoft applications particularly excel spreadsheets.
  • Technologically savvy in particular with web based registration systems, social media applications, and the latest online applications.
  • “Can do” attitude, with a willingness to assist in all areas of the department operations when required.
