Whitecaps FC 2 Sales and Service Representative

Are you interested in pursuing a career in professional sports? Whitecaps FC2, is looking for an individual for the full time position of WFC2 Sales & Service Representative, commencing November 2016.

Successful applicants for this position will join dedicated team members who are passionate about the part we play in accelerating the growth of the sport of soccer in Canada. Building on our first 2 seasons in United Soccer League and coming off our first playoff appearance, we are looking for an individual that will help us continue to cultivate a strong and loyal fan base at our 2 home venues.

As a member of our sales team you will:

  • Participate in our Internal Sales & Service Training Program
  • Help grow the Whitecaps FC 2 supporter base by identifying and facilitating new ticket sales within our core (family) demographic
  • Generate ticket sales revenue through lead generation and qualifying prospects
  • Generate contacts through both inside and outside sales and networking opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships through excellent customer service
  • Communicate and carry out service policies and procedures to Season Ticket Members in the most professional manner
  • Maintain computerized records of all clients and prospects via ticketing software
  • Provide support during special events, promotions, and game days, as required.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.  Preference given to those living in the Greater Vancouver area.
  • 2-3 years of sales (or sales-related) experience. Service experience an asset.
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent command of the English language, with superior communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills (must be excellent at multi-tasking!)
  • Grade 12 required; diploma or degree an asset
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive, friendly attitude
  • Because working during games and special events is expected, the individual must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Account Executive, Sales

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is seeking a self-motivated, highly professional person for the position of Account Executive, Sales.  This person is responsible for selling group and subscription tickets to local businesses, groups, individuals and associations via phone, e-mail, in person and at selected events. 

As a member of our hard working group sales team you will be expected to:

  • Receive the industry’s best sales and service training through our intensive Whitecaps FC Sales and Service Academy
  • Help grow our supporter base by identifying and facilitating new ticket sales
  • Generate ticket sales revenue through lead generation and qualifying prospects
  • Generate contacts through both inside and outside sales networking opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships through excellent customer service
  • Assist with Match Day duties, as required
  • Communicate and carry out service policies and procedures to Season Ticket Members in the most professional manner
  • Maintain computerized records of all clients and prospects via ticketing software and club CRM
  • Provide support during game days and promotions, as required

 

Required Experience and Qualifications

 

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada; preference given to Greater Vancouver applicants
  • 2 to 3 years of sales experience

Account Executive, Inside Sales

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is looking for a highly organized, professional and friendly individual for the position of Account Executive, Inside Sales.  

Overview: There are plenty of ways to “get your foot in the door” within the sports industry. But there is only one way to kick down the door and start your career. The Inside Sales team offers sales professionals the training, coaching, and environment to establish a successful career in professional sports.

Members of the Inside Sales Program receive comprehensive training enabling them to sell a full menu of products including Season Tickets, Group Tickets, and Premium Seating. The primary focus of our Inside Sales program is to develop and promote the industry’s top performers from within Inside Sales and build successful careers in the sports industry.

Description: Inside Sales Representatives are responsible for 100 outbound calls each day. New business calls are intended to make sales over the phone with a full menu of ticket products or generate face to face meetings and appointments.

In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, Inside Sales Representatives will be expected to attend networking events, internal and external sales events as well as team promotional events. Match Day responsibilities will include but not limited to prospecting at sales tables, servicing client accounts, and other duties as assigned.
