Brunch for Books

Keeper Lutz Phannenstiel read “My School’s a Zoo” by Stu Smith and David Catrow for a group of children at Herons in the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in downtown Vancouver.  The brunch was in support of the CanWest Raise-a-Reader initiative, to which Herons and the Fairmont Waterfront donated $8,020. Raise-a-Reader was created by The Vancouver Sun in 1997 and has since raised $3.45 million in support of children’s literacy initiatives in BC
