CLEVELAND — Vancouver goalkeeper Jay Nolly made a key late save to help the Whitecaps earn a 0-0 draw against the Cleveland City Stars in United Soccer Legues First Division play Saturday.
Nolly deflected Ricardo Pierre-Louis' shot in the 89th minute to help the Whitecaps (7-7-4) stay undefeated in three games. The Whitecaps failed to score despite good chances against Cleveland (2-12-7) late in the second half.

Marcus Haber's header in the 73rd minute was saved by Cleveland goalkeeper Evan Bush. Marlon James collected the rebound but couldn't put his shot on net.

Haber's second header in the 86th minute off Takashi Hirano's cross missed the net.
