One Week To Go!

The stage is set for March 10

In exactly one week’s time two fierce Canadian rivals will face each other for the first time in Major League Soccer (MLS). This highly anticipated match between Montreal Impact and Vancouver Whitecaps FC will be head coach Martin Rennie’s first opportunity to show his squad to 'Caps supporters. The match will kick off at 3 p.m. PT on Saturday, March 10th at BC Place.  .

Rennie has made many changes during the off-season, adding players such as striker Sebastian Le Toux and defender  Young-Pyo Lee, among others.  The club currently sits with a 4W-0L-2D record after six pre-season matches. Two preseason matches remain before the club returns to Vancouver for some final preparation before the match on Saturday, March 10.

“I have been impressed with the club’s progress so far,” said Rennie “but we know we still have a long way to go.” This will mark the second straight year that the 'Caps open their season at home. However, this year BC Place will play host to its first ever MLS home opener. Make sure you have your tickets for what is sure to be another memorable occasion in ‘Caps history.
