League1 BC: Boys make final next Saturday at BC Place

VANCOUVER, BC Vancouver Whitecaps FC Boys MLS Academy defeated TSS Rovers 3-0 in the League1 BC semifinals at Ken Woods Field on Saturday. The 'Caps now advance to the League1 BC championship final next Saturday, August 5 at BC Place. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. PT, with tickets available on Ticketmaster.

The 'Caps opened the scoring six minutes in. Amir Ghaesemi sent in a great cross from the right flank, and Luke Norman was on the spot to head it in and give the 'Caps a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Amir Ghasemi struck one into the net in the 58th minute to make it 2-0. Joven Mann then added a third with a calm finish in the box in the 71st minute.

Finally in the 85th minute, Sydney Wathuta rounded out the scoring for a 4-0 final.

Awaiting the 'Caps now in the final are Victoria Highlanders FC, as the regular season champions defeated the fourth place Unity FC 3-2 at Centennial Stadium on Saturday.
