VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC Boys MLS Academy finished a strong second season in League1 BC in which they lost only two matches, ending with a 1-1 draw at Rivers FC on Sunday.
A shorthanded 'Caps side would go down 1-0 in the second half. Whitecaps FC BMO Academy graduate Alessandro Comita opened the scoring for his hometown Rivers FC from the penalty spot.
The 'Caps would not give up, however, as Luke Norman tied the match at 1-1 with a goal on 69 minutes.
The third place 'Caps now prepare for the playoffs, where they will face the second place TSS Rovers in the semifinals this weekend.
