NOTES:

Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson keeps the same starting XI in consecutive MLS matches for the first time all season. This is the third time this season, and first at home, that this XI has started. Previously, this lineup earned a 2-1 win at New York Red Bulls on June 20 and a 3-0 win at Seattle Sounders FC on August 1.


Today’s XI has an average age of 26 years, six months, and one week. Five of the six attacking players are 23 years old, while Manneh is only 20.

In total, seven different birth countries are represented in the starters: Argentina, Costa Rica, Denmark, The Gambia (x2), Ghana, United States (x2), and Uruguay (x3).


After 23 matches in 2015, Whitecaps FC have earned 39 points with a 12W-8L-3D record, which is seven points more than last season when they were 7W-5L-11D after the same number of matches. The ‘Caps are one win away from matching their MLS single-season record (13).
