An imposing centre back, Clement joined Whitecaps FC on March 13, 2013 after being selected by the club in the 2013 MLS Supplemental Draft.
The 22-year-old Erie, Pennsylvania, native spent the latter part of 2013 preseason with Whitecaps FC and made four starts, including matches against Arizona Sahuaros, College of Charleston, Houston Dynamo and Carolina RailHawks.
Prior to joining up with Whitecaps FC, Clement played four seasons of NCAA Division I soccer with the Duquesne University Dukes. In his time with Duquesne, the 6-foot-4, 195-pound defender registered four goals and six assists in 71 matches. The Erie, Pennsylvania native received the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team honours for his efforts during his final two seasons with the Dukes, which included three goals and four assists in his senior year.
