PROFILE

A creative attacking midfielder, Andre Lewis joined Whitecaps FC as a youth international on January 16, 2014 after being selected seventh overall in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft. Previously, Lewis played for Jamaican National Premier League side Portmore United F.C. and was a standout for the Jamaican U-17 and U-20 outfits. 

  HIGH SCHOOL

Lewis was a member of the national power St. George’s College squad that captured both the Manning Cup and Olivier Shield Jamaican high school titles in 2011 and 2012. In 2011, Lewis scored the lone goal in the Olivier Shield final to cap off an undefeated season for St. George’s College, while he also scored in their 2012 Manning Cup championship match. Of note during the 2012 Manning Cup, Lewis scored a hat-trick in a 7-1 win over Cumberland High in the group stage.
 

INTERNATIONAL
Senior:
Lewis earned his first call-up to the senior Reggae Boyz squad in 2012, but has yet to appear in a match. U-20: The skilled midfielder appeared in three matches for the Jamaican U-20 outfit at the 2013 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. U-17: As a member of the Jamaican U-17 outfit, Lewis appeared in the 2011 CONCACAF U-17 Championship, scoring a goal against Trinidad & Tobago. Lewis went on to represent his country again at the ensuing 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico, where he scored against France.

Lewis lives 10 minutes away from Whitecaps FC striker Darren Mattocks in their native Jamaica.
