Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Wendy's Restaurants wrapped up a big Okanagan weekend reaching over 350 youths with a combination of a free Community clinic, two Prospects camps, and pre-season training camps for seven Okanagan Super Y-League teams.

"Thanks to Wendy’s, this was a great opportunity for the Whitecaps to connect with the Okanagan on both a developmental and community basis to help grow the game," said Whitecaps director of youth Dan Lenarduzzi. "On behalf of Wendy's and the Whitecaps, I want to thank our partners NOYSA (North Okanagan Youth Soccer Association) and COYSA (Central Okanagan Youth Soccer Association) for hosting the weekend and partnering with us."
Whitecaps head coaches Bart Choufour and Jesse Symons led two preseason sessions for the Okanagan Super Y-League teams and staff on Friday and Sunday in Vernon and the Okanagan. "This was an excellent opportunity for the Whitecaps head coaching staff to work with our Y-League head coaches and players on preseason preparation and philosophy," said technical director Andrew Latham.
On Saturday, the Whitecaps held two Prospects sessions for over 120 boys and girls in Kelowna and Vernon.
On Sunday, the Whitecaps wrapped up the weekend with a sold-out Wendy’s free Community clinic in Kelowna for over 120 youths. New Whitecaps men’s team members Nick and Mason Webb, their Bolivian international teammate Vicente Arze, and Whitecaps Residency youngster Drew Russell joined Whitecaps women's players Monica Lam-Feist and Stephanie Panozzo to work with the boys and girls in the clinics and take part in an autograph session.
