Surrey WFC split home opener
Surrey WFC opened with a win and two losses against American rivals Evergreen Soccer Club in their first-ever Super Y-League home opener Sunday in Surrey.

The Surrey WFC U-14 Boys opened the weekend series with a convincing 3-1 win, taking them to 2-0 on the season after winning their first game on the road against Spokane last weekend.

The U-13 Boys dropped their second game of the season 4-1 to Evergreen, while the U-14 Girls saw their record go to 1-1 with a tough 2-1 loss to their Pacific Northwest opponents.

Prospects drop Victoria PCSL openers
Saturday proved to be a tough day the Vancouver Whitecaps Prospects teams after they suffered season-opening defeats in the Pacific Coast Soccer League in Victoria.

The Prospect Men fell to a 2-0 defeat against last season's PCSL champions Victoria United at Royal Athletic Park, while the Prospect Women dropped a 3-1 result to Victoria Stars at Hampton Park.
