TFC draw puts team in must-win situation - National Post

Toronto FC have put themselves in a must-win situation for their final Nutrilite Canadian Championship game against Montreal.

TFC battled back from a 0-1 deficit on Wednesday night against the Vancouver Whitecaps and walked home with a 2-2 draw. Maurice Edu and Rohan Ricketts scored second half goals to give the visitors the lead, but Eduardo Sebrango notched his second goal of the game for the Whitecaps with the clock winding down to tie.

The draw brings TFC to within two points of the Montreal Impact, meaning if Toronto wins the July 22 rematch between the two teams, it will go on to be Canada's representative in the CONCACAF Champions League.

TFC should be favoured in the grudge rematch. They beat the Impact 1-0 on May 27, but they were expected to win easily and the game turned out to be a tough test.
