Super Y Finals - BC Day Three Report

Two Vancouver Whitecaps FC and BCSA affiliate teams have reached the USL Super Y-League North American semifinals following the final set of group matches on Sunday.

Mountain WFC's U-14 and U-16 Boys teams each finished top in their respective groups to make Monday's semis in Florida, while the U-14 Boys side from Abbotsford Mariners also reached the last four following Sunday's results.

The Mountain U-14 Boys will face group B winners Cal Odyssey at 3pm while fellow Canadians Abbotsford will take on the undefeated and group A winner PDA at 1:00.  The winners will play for the championship on Tuesday.  The Mountain U-16 Boys take a perfect record into their 11:00 Monday match against group C winner and also undefeated CZ Elite. 

The remaining British Columbia teams at the finals will have to settle for a Monday consolation match. They include all four girls representatives from Coastal WFC, and Surrey WFC's U-14 Boys team. Mountain's U-13 and U-15 Boys, as well as their U-16 Girls, will also play consolation games.

Abbotsford's U-15 and U-16 Boys also missed out on the semifinals following their last group matches on Sunday.

COASTAL WFC
U-13 Girls 1-1 West Michigan Fire Juniors
Coastal completed their Group C campaign with a 1-1 draw versus West Michigan Fire Juniors.
U-14 Girls 2-1 Kendall SC
Coastal earned their first win in Group B, as goals by Samantha Holmes-McLuskie and Carina Lauzon secured a 2-1 victory over Kendall SC from Miami, Florida.
U-15 Girls 0-0 Rage SC
Coastal completed their Group B schedule of matches with a goalless draw versus Rage SC from Pennsylvania.
U-16 Girls 1-2 Real So Cal Blue
Coastal completed their games in Group C with a 2-1 defeat versus California's Real So Cal Blue.
MOUNTAIN WFC
U-13 Boys 0-0 MPS Boston
Mountain drew their final match in Group D, as they played out a goalless stalemate with MPS Boston from Massachusetts.
U-14 Boys 0-0 Real Salt Lake Florida
After winning their first two matches in Group C, Mountain reached the semifinals with a goalless draw versus Real Salt Lake Florida on Sunday.
U-15 Boys 3-0 Black Watch SC
Two goals by Taj Sangara led Mountain to their second win in Group B, as they defeated Black Watch SC from New York State 3-0. Konstantin Vasic had Mountain's other goal.
U-16 Boys 4-3 Super Nova FC
Mountain cruised into the semifinals after making it three wins out of three in Group B. This after an entertaining 4-3 win over Super Nova FC from Pennsylvania. Nolan Moore scored two goals, while Matthias Kempe and Alex Yoon each found the back of the net for Les Krivak's side.
U-16 Girls 0-1 Parsippany SC
Despite dominating their final match in Group A, Mountain missed out on the semifinals after a 1-0 defeat to Parsippany SC from New Jersey.
SURREY WFC
U-14 Boys 3-1 FC Westchester
Surrey claimed their first-ever win at the North American Finals, as they disposed of New York's FC Westchester 3-1 in Group B action.
ABBOTSFORD MARINERS
U-14 Boys 0-0 Alpharetta United
Abbotsford joined Mountain in the semifinals by winning Group D. This after a goalless draw with Georgia's Alpharetta United on Sunday.
U-15 Boys 1-0 Kalamazoo Kingdom
After suffering defeats in their first two Group C matches, the Mariners earned a one-goal victory over Michigan's Kalamazoo Kingdom.
U-16 Boys 1-2 CZ Elite Soccer
After drawing their first two matches, Abbotsford lost 2-1 versus CZ Elite Soccer, with the California outfit advancing to the semifinals after winning Group C with three straight victories.
