Trafford's Diary #7 - First Day Off

Trafford's Tanzania Diary #7 - The Province
BACK OF THE NET
Today was our first day off from training since we’ve been in Tanzania.

After breakfast, I went for a dip in the pool with Jay Nolly. A little pool therapy always feels good on the body after a tough match. We both had knocks from training and the game, so Al Ezaki and the treatment room was our next stop this morning. After lunch, eight players got on the bus to go visit an orphanage/school.

We were excited to get out and kick the ball around with the kids, as it was the first time for most of today’s group and we had heard from the other boys how much fun everyone had. The field was basically a big dirt patch, and we arrived to all the kids running around (many bare foot), playing football. We introduced ourselves, met the kids, and then let the football do the talking.
