Vancouver Whitecaps striker
Charles Gbeke
and right fullback
Wes Knight
have both been named in the latest USL First Division Team of the Week for Week Five.

The pair earned spots in the league's weekly all-star XI after combining for the Whitecaps winning goal in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Puerto Rico Islanders. Gbeke scored his first goal of the season in the weekend win at Swangard Stadium, while Knight recorded his second assist of the year by playing in the decisive cross that allowed the Canadian international to head home the winning goal. It is the Vancouver rookie's first mention in a USL-1 Team of the Week since joining the club from College of Charleston in the offseason.

The Player of the Week honour goes to Cleveland City Stars goalkeeper Hunter Gilstrap, as he made 11 saves to earn the USL-1 new boys a goalless home draw with Portland Timbers. Four other defenders were also selected this week. They include Portland's Cameron Knowles, Rochester Rhinos' Brent Sancho, Puerto Rico's Cristian Arrieta, and Frankie Sanfilippo from Charleston Battery.

Three midfielders in Yordany Alvarez from Austin Aztex, Rochester's Tiger Fitzpatrick, and Cleveland's John Michael Hayden were also named in the chosen XI, while Charleston forward Daniel Antoniuk joined Gbeke as the other striker in the Week Five team.
