BURNABY, B.C. — Charles Gbeke scored twice as the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the Austin Aztex 3-2 in United Soccer Leagues First Division action Wednesday.
Kenold Versailles also scored for the Whitecaps.
Jean Alexandre scored both goals for the Aztex, who are in their first USL First Division season.
Vancouver (9-9-8) remained in seventh place in the USL First Division and maintained possession of the league's final playoff spot.
Austin fell to 4-14-8 and was eliminated from playoff contention.
