Join Vancouver Whitecaps fans and staff at one of our two official viewing parties this Saturday, October 17, at 11:30 a.m. PDT to watch the second leg of the 2009 USL First Division Championship Series live on Fox Sports World Canada.
Supporters can gather at either the
Terminal City Lions Pub
- located at 888, West Cordova Street, in downtown Vancouver or
Boston Pizza
- located at 4219, Lougheed Highway, in Burnaby, BC, to see the Whitecaps battle Canadian rivals Montreal Impact in the second leg at Stade Saputo. There will be Whitecaps players in attendance at both viewing parties, while fans will also have the chance to win prizes at both events. Season Ticket holders who attend the viewing party at the Terminal City Lions Pub will receive 20% off food, with the presentation of their 'Caps Card.
The Whitecaps need to overcome a one-goal deficit in the second leg following a 3-2 home defeat to Montreal in the first leg last Saturday night. If the aggregate score is tied at the conclusion of the second leg, then two 15-minute extra-time periods will be played to determine the series winner. If both sides remain tied at the end of extra time, then the series will be decided using a penalty shootout.
Unlike European club competitions or the CONCACAF Champions League, the 'Away Goals' rule is NOT in effect as a tiebreaker in the USL-1 playoffs.
No minors will be permitted to the Terminal City Lions Pub event on Saturday
