Whitecaps set Showcase schedule

Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today the tentative weekend schedule for the first annual Whitecaps West Coast College Showcase at Newton Athletic Park in Surrey, BC, on March 6 to 8.

"The Whitecaps West Coast College Showcase is much more than a tournament," said Washington State-based 'Showcase of Champions' president and Whitecaps alumni Greg Ion. "Beyond the tournament-style competition - the classroom sessions, information for players and parents, player college bound workbook, and coaches workbook profiling every team and athlete - set this event apart from a tournament-style event, while it also provides a valuable investment in a families' future post-secondary plans."
