The Whitecaps family was saddened to hear the news that legendary Vancouver sports broadcaster Paul Carson was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this past February.
A pioneer of Sports Page TV and Team 1040 sports radio, Carson has been an influential figure to his fellow sports broadcasters and journalists in Vancouver, as well as the entire British Columbia sporting community, including the Whitecaps.
In a bid to support Paul with his battle against a challenging form of cancer, 'Friends of Paul Carson' are staging a special rally party and fundraiser at Republic (958, Granville Street, in downtown Vancouver) on Friday, April 16, at 7 p.m. All funds from the event will go towards Paul's cancer battle - one which requires expensive, specialized, and highly aggressive treatment.
Tickets are $195 and cover all food, drinks, and entertainment. The evening will feature a silent auction with a great line-up of items and treats. Tickets are available through Club Zone by
