Whitecaps FC partner with Gameday

Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that they have reached an agreement with Gameday Merchandising to oversee and manage their in-venue retail operations.

Gameday Merchandising will provide a turn-key retail solution for the Whitecaps at Swangard Stadium for the 2010 season, and will continue the partnership with the club, as Vancouver transitions towards Major League Soccer in 2011. Most recently, Gameday Merchandising provided retail services to the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympics games in Vancouver, BC.

"We are pleased to have reached this retail and merchandising agreement with such a recognized leader in the industry," said Whitecaps FC chief operating officer Rachel Lewis. "We look forward to expanding the reach of the Vancouver Whitecaps FC brand with Gameday Merchandising."

"Gameday Merchandising is excited about the opportunity to work with Whitecaps FC," said Gameday Merchandising president Alan Fey. "One only has to look a couple hours down Interstate 5 from Vancouver, or across the country to Toronto, to see the value and significance that merchandise plays in the MLS. Both parties are committed to the partnership, which will ultimately benefit Whitecaps fans."
