Playoff foes forced to share seats on flight to Vancouver
The gap between the Vancouver Whitecaps and Puerto Rico Islanders has been so narrow in 2010, you could barely squeeze an airplane drinks cart through.
So it's fitting that the teams were on the same flight out of Puerto Rico on Friday morning. Forced into close quarters in airport waiting rooms, and even on the plane.

For Wes Knight, the agony of separating his right shoulder couldn't compare with watching his teammates on the web.
"It was the most painful thing," the Whitecaps' fullback said of viewing Vancouver's first-leg USSF D-2 semifinal in Puerto Rico via his computer.

1 Don't worry -- Nolly's good to go
Whitecaps' MVP goalkeeper Jay Nolly didn't practice Saturday, causing some consternation among the fans. But the 28-year-old, who was receiving treatment for a leg injury suffered late in Thursday's first half, said he'd be ready to go today. Head coach Teitur Thordarson called it "a precaution" to keep Nolly off the field. "We didn't want to take the risk of him getting injured," he said.
