The countdown is well on its way and come 3:30 p.m. PT on the third Saturday in March, Empire Field will be all about the Blue and White rocking the stadium, willing our storied club to an historic first Major League Soccer victory against our Canadian rivals.
There is no doubt that sections 216 - 222 (where our Southsiders, a South American drum troupe, and other supporters) will be among the loudest in leading the cheers at Empire Field, and I encourage everyone to join in.
Empire is our home, now let’s get loud Vancouver!
We will give credit, where credit is due. TFC have created a fabulous atmosphere at BMO Field in their first four seasons, and have a solid fan base. We will welcome travelling fans into our house and have even set aside over 250 seats in sections 228 and 229 for away supporters. We encourage fans supporting our visitors to purchase tickets in these sections. In fact, our ticketing team has already been working directly with a travelling contingent of over 60 TFC fans, to ensure a safe environment for all for our inaugural match in MLS.
Single match tickets will be available to all fans (including away supporters) for purchase this Wednesday, February 23, at 10 a.m. PT online at Ticketmaster or Charge-by-Phone: 1.855.6.GO-CAPS (1.855.646.2277). Fans who are planning to attend the match in a group, including away supporters, are encouraged to call Tom Tompkins from the Whitecaps FC sales department at 604.669.9283 -extension 2223.
All fans will be able to request seats in a specific section based on their preference, however to ensure a safe and friendly environment for all fans, at all our home matches, Whitecaps FC reserve the right to move fans supporting our visitors to the section of the stadium reserved and set aside for visiting supporters, if they are sitting in other areas of our stadium.
