Vancouver Whitecaps FC has been operating summer camps in British Columbia for over 23 years, reaching more than 25,000 participants from across the province.
This year, in the club’s inagural MLS season, Whitecaps FC summer camps have seen record registrants. 2,500 youth have already been registered with some spaces still remaining. This year Whitecaps FC Camps will visit the communities of Vancouver, Surrey, Maple Ridge, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Delta and Langley, as well as the three new communities of Abbotsford, Ladner and Mission. Morning camps run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. PT, with afternoon camps running from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. PT.
Camp manager and former Whitecaps FC and World Cup captain Sam Lenarduzzi, along with Whitecaps staff coaches, ensure boys and girls of all ages and levels are challenged, focused and have fun in a professional club environment.
These one of a kind camps, brought to you by Presenting Partner Bell Canada, provide players with specialized instruction from Whitecaps FC coaches, and provide them with access to the official Whitecaps training curriculum. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet current Whitecaps FC players who visit on the last day of each camp. Each camp participant will also receive an official camp t-shirt and poster.
If your child loves meeting new people, socializing with friends, spending time outdoors, and wants to develop their skills in order to become a better soccer player, Whitecaps FC Camps are the perfect opportunity for them to learn from the best. These Camps will be sure to provide each participant with a positive soccer experience, helping them improve their skills in a comfortable and friendly environment.
Athletes can join Whitecaps FC camps for $129 plus tax per child. Coaches have the ability to enter their teams and will receive $10 off for each player registered. There are also scholarship opportunities available through the Whitecaps Foundation through the generosity of our Blue and White Donors.
This year, in addition to our existing scholarship program we are honoured to provide three camp scholarships in memory of Geoff Purcell, a long time Whitecaps and soccer fan who passed away earlier this year. Geoff’s family and friends have made donations to create a scholarship in his name.
General scholarships and Geoff Purcell Memorial Scholarships are awarded based primarily on financial need and are available to children from the ages 5 to 15. Scholarship applications will be dealt with on an ongoing basis, with July 8 being the final deadline for applications.
