Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed today that striker Atiba Harris underwent a successful meniscectomy to his right knee on Friday, August 12. Earlier this season, on April 26, Harris underwent meniscal repair surgery to his right knee.

"We fully expect Atiba to make a complete recovery and look forward to having him back on the pitch," said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi.

Harris joined Whitecaps FC last November after being selected in the second round (fourth overall) of the 2010 Major League Soccer (MLS) Expansion Draft. This season, the Saint Kitts and Nevis international has made five starts for 443 minutes of action, contributing offensively with two goals and three assists.
