Fans attending the match between Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Houston Dynamo this coming Saturday will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and offers before, during and after the match. The match, presented by Sears Home Services is also a BC Hydro Family Night, and is sure to be fun for fans of all ages.
Before or after the match, all fans with a game-day ticket will receive free access to the Pacific National Exhibition, valued at $20. This provides fans with the opportunity to visit the PNE either before or after the match to take in the many activities and attractions at this year’s Fair at the PNE. Fans will be granted free entry by presenting their game-day ticket at the gates.
Gates to Empire Field will open at 3 p.m. PT on Saturday. Fans are encouraged to come early to participate in the many activities.
On the concourse, fans will have the opportunity to visit the Sears Home Services booth to play foosball games against other fans. Fans will also have the chance to participate in a photo opportunity at the Home Depot booth, and at the Jugo Juice booth, fans will be able to sample a variety of Jugo Juice flavors.
At the Bell Box, before the match, there will be freestylers, drummers and a visit from Spike, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC mascot. Before and during halftime, fans will also have the opportunity to participate in the Bell Score the First Goal contest and practice in the goal cage.
At BC Hydro’s Youth Zone, there will be a variety of interactive games, and fans can enter to win a Family Picnic Pack valued at $200.
During halftime Tim Horton’s mini-matches will take place on the pitch, while Paralympic athlete Josh Dueck will introduce the high 5 camp. Eight fans caught high-fiving will receive an X-Box Kinect thanks to Work Safe BC.
On the concourse, at the Bell Box, there will be an autograph session with a Whitecaps FC team member as well as a Team 1410 broadcast interview that fans can listen to live. Sears will do a halftime contest with one lucky fan who will be asked trivia questions for their chance to win a $250 gift card to Sears.
After the match, 5,000 lucky fans will receive a magnetic frame courtesy of Sears Home Services.

Parking at the match will be limited due to the activities at the PNE. Fans are encouraged to come early and to take public transportation if possible.
