'Caps Chronicle: Cannon looking forward to returning in 2012

WHITECAPS FC IN THE NEWS:

In the biggest news of the day, Whitecaps FC CEO Paul Barber announced that he’s stepping down as of February 29, 2012.  “I enjoyed every minute of it,” he said of his time with Vancouver Whitecaps FC. (David Ebner – theglobeandmail.com)


The announcement was felt by many. “We’re going to miss Paul,” said Whitecaps co-owner Jeff Mallett. “He’s been a great part of the organization.”  (Marc Weber – The Province)


Barber has been a great asset to the club. He’s helped lead the club to a bright future with some exciting new signings and a Residency program that is flourishing.  “Have no doubts about it, Vancouver Whitecaps’ future, and promising young talent, is now very rich indeed.”  (Michael McColl – metronews.ca)

‘Whitecaps FC Daily’ with Peter Schaad on TEAM 1410 sports radio is on a winter break until the New Year, but for those of you who may have missed some episodes, you can find them HERE!


The show will return on January 23, 2012, and air every Monday to Friday at 3 p.m. PT on TEAM 1410.
