WHITECAPS FC IN THE NEWS

There are winners and losers in every draft. Whitecaps FC didn’t just walk away from the MLS SuperDraft with two excellent prospects in Mattocks and Estridge, they were big time winners according to MLSsoccer.com. (Matthew Doyle - MLSsoccer.com)


They weren’t the only ones who thought so either. According to Travis Clark, Vancouver Whitecaps FC were one of the clear cut winners of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft, as the team looks to reverse their fortunes in the 2012 season. (Travis Clark – ESPN.com)


Darren Mattocks was an absolute beast in his two years at the University of Akron, scoring 39 goals in 47 NCAA games. He hopes to bring that scoring touch to Bell pitch in the coming years. (Michael Beaven – The Akron Beacon Journal)


Whitecaps FC coach Martin Rennie was ecstatic with his team’s selections at the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.
