Martin Rennie’s side will open their 2012 campaign on Bell Pitch at BC Place on Saturday, March 10, at 3 p.m. PT versus MLS expansion side Montreal Impact. This match is the only MLS regular season meeting between these two long-time Canadian rivals.

On Saturday, March 24, at 7 p.m. PT, D.C. United - one of only four teams to have played on Bell Pitch at BC Place last season - will face the Blue and White. The last meeting between these two sides saw Vancouver defeat D.C. United 2-1. The ‘Caps will play a few matches on the road before returning home on Wednesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. PT, when they will face Eastern Conference side Sporting Kansas City. Both the D.C. United and Sporting Kansas City matches will be the only meetings between these sides in the 2012 regular season.

On Saturday, April 21, at 7 p.m. PT, the ‘Caps will host FC Dallas followed by a match-up versus San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, May 5, at 4 p.m. PT. Both these Western Conference rivals will visit Vancouver later in the season, as the teams will meet three times in regular season play.

The second leg of the Amway Canadian Championship semifinal will be played on Bell Pitch at BC Place when Whitecaps FC host North American Soccer League side FC Edmonton. Whitecaps FC fans will recognize a handful of FC Edmonton players from their time with the Blue and White. Kyle Porter, Antonio Rago, and Alex Semenets were all members of the inaugural Whitecaps FC Residency squad when the program started in September 2007. Defender Paul Hamilton, meanwhile, appeared for the Residency team during the 2009 United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League season.

“We look forward to welcoming fans to our home matches at BC Place this season, where they will witness an unrivaled sporting experience,” said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi. “We encourage fans to purchase their tickets in advance for what will be an exciting and thrilling second season in Major League Soccer. Season tickets are also still on sale and are the best way to ensure fans don’t miss a moment of the action.”

Single match tickets for the first six matches of the season are now on sale. Single match tickets for the remainder of the 2012 season will be released at a later date.
