The second leg of the Amway Canadian Championship semifinal will be played on Bell Pitch at BC Place when Whitecaps FC host North American Soccer League side FC Edmonton. Defender Paul Hamilton, meanwhile, appeared for the Residency team during the 2009 United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League season.
“We look forward to welcoming fans to our home matches at BC Place this season, where they will witness an unrivaled sporting experience,” said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi. “We encourage fans to purchase their tickets in advance for what will be an exciting and thrilling second season in Major League Soccer. Season tickets are also still on sale and are the best way to ensure fans don’t miss a moment of the action.”
