Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that the club have parted ways with trialists Chris Estridge and Andrew Fontein.
Defender Estridge, 22, was selected in the second round of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft from Indiana University, while goalkeeper Fontein was selected in the third round of the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft from the University of California, Irvine.
Whitecaps FC currently have 26 players signed, as well as pre-signed Designated Player Barry Robson. Trialists Etienne Barbara, Bilal Duckett, Floyd Franks, Greg Klazura, and Suley Nuru, as well as Residency players Caleb Clarke, Ben Fisk, and Callum Irving round out the 34-player preseason camp roster. Vancouver’s travel roster for the 2012 Disney Pro Soccer Classic in Orlando, Florida, will be confirmed shortly.
