Kickin’ with the ‘Caps presented by BMO is a program which offers youth soccer participants the chance to be involved in Vancouver Whitecaps FC men’s and women’s matches.
“This program is a central part to the opening ceremonies at every Whitecaps FC home match,” said Hugh Hamilton Whitecaps FC soccer ambassador. “It’s great to see the children’s faces light up as they enter the stadium to the roar of the Whitecaps FC supporters.”
The program offers local youth soccer players the opportunity to be player escorts, flag bearers and ball retrievers during matches.
The reasons to engage in the Kickin’ with the ‘Caps program presented by BMO are many including that the program provides the opportunity for clubs to raise their profile and fundraise, while also giving team members the chance to meet their heroes.
“My team loved participating in the program last year,” stated Alan Lier, U-12 coordinator for South Burnaby Metro. “It’s a lasting memory that I know these kids will cherish for the rest of their lives.”
