VANCOUVER, BC -
Whitecaps FC held their 2012 Media Day at BC Place on Thursday, and what a success. I counted well over 50 members of the media taking in the day.
The busy schedule included a Lunch & Learn session with FIFA certified referee Bob Sawtell, watching him give a detailed explanation of the offside rule was worth the price of admission, interviews with the players, the 2012 season address from Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi, chief operating officer Rachel Lewis and head coach Martin Rennie.
Finally, the media were treated with an Xs & Os session with Martin Rennie with some assistance from assistant coach Jake DeClute.
Throughout the day, everyone was in great spirits as the kick off to Round 2 is only two sleeps away.
