#Bates4MVP

Alan Bates - IMG

Without a doubt, Whitecaps FC supporters are some of the most passionate and supportive in Major League Soccer! Now, the rest of the league is starting to find that out. After starting last week in 12th place in the Community MVP contest, Whitecaps FC nominee Alan Bates, president of Vancouver Street Soccer and head coach of Portland FC (one of the teams that play in the Vancouver Street Soccer league) has now rocketed his way into third place thanks to a wave of support. With less than a week left to vote, Alan needs your continued support ‘Caps fans. Make sure to vote here as many times as you can: http://www.mlssoccer.com/mlsworks/community-mvp/vote.

Whitecaps FC are working together with Alan to spread the word and encourage all to vote in support of the Vancouver Street Soccer League. There has been a nominee profile on Alan on whitecapsfc.com, an in-depth interview in The Province, and Alan also spoke passionately about Vancouver Street Soccer and the Homeless World Cup to Metro Vancouver. Earlier this morning, Alan also made an appearance on Breakfast Television along with Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi.

Members of the Vancouver Street Soccer League have dedicated an hour each day to vote just for Alan. So get your friends and family to show support for Alan on twitter with the hash tag #Bates4MVP.

Remember, you can vote as many times as you like, so if you’re going to vote once, why not vote a few more times at http://www.mlssoccer.com/mlsworks/community-mvp/vote. Encourage your family and friends to vote too!  Let’s all do our part and help Alan win $10,000 towards Vancouver Street Soccer.
