'Caps participate in Vancouver Street Soccer Practice

On Tuesday, Matt Watson, Carlyle Mitchell, Gurveen Clair, Shannon Woeller and club ambassador Carl Valentine participated in a Vancouver Street Soccer League practice at Oppenheimer Park.


The 'Caps representatives participated in drills and games with street soccer players. The experience was one to remember for all who attended. This visit was part of Vancouver Whitecaps FC's push to help Vancouver Street Soccer president Alan Bates win the 2012 MLS W.O.R.K.S. Community MVP award. If Bates is successful he will recieve $10,000 for Vancouver Street Soccer. Bates currently sits in third place with voting closing on Friday, July 13, at 2 p.m. PT.
