'Caps visit Camp Goodtimes

Camp Goodtimes

On Monday, Whitecaps FC made a very special visit to Loon Lake to meet the campers at Camp Goodtimes, which is a safe, medically supervised, fun and recreational experience run by the Canadian Cancer Society for children with cancer and their families.

Whitecaps FC  club ambassador Carl Valentine and players Michael Nanchoff,  Omar Salgado, Greg Klazura and Jordan Harvey were all part of the ‘Caps contingent that made their way up to camp to make some new friends.

“It is so special to come here,” said Whitecaps FC midfielder Michael Nanchoff. “Not only do we make them happy, they make us happy. The kids are so gracious, kind and genuine. It puts everything into perspective.”

During the day the group made friendship bracelets, danced, sang, played a soccer game and had a very cold dip in the lake.
