VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC have confirmed their schedule for the 2013 Carolina Challenge Cup, which will take place in Charleston, South Carolina. The four-team preseason tournament will pit Whitecaps FC against Major League Soccer outfits Houston Dynamo and Chicago Fire, as well as United Soccer Leagues Professional Division side Charleston Battery.
After arriving in the United States on February 13, Whitecaps FC begin their Challenge Cup campaign against hosts Charleston on February 16 before taking on 2012 MLS Cup finalists Houston Dynamo on February 20, and lastly the Chicago Fire on February 23.
All Carolina Challenge Cup matches will take place at Blackbaud Stadium.

Following the tournament, Whitecaps FC will return to Vancouver to prepare for MLS First Kick in early March 2013.
The 10th instalment of the Carolina Challenge Cup represents a key component of Whitecaps FC’s preparations for the 2013 MLS season and will follow a 10-day training camp at Casa Grande in Arizona which begins January 28. Players are set to report for the start of the 2013 camp at the University of British Columbia on January 20.
