Vancouver Whitecaps FC's long standing rivalry with Seattle Sounders will be challenged once again on May, 17, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. PT when players from the 'Caps Girls Elite will take on the Sounders Women.
During this match, Vancouver Whitecaps FC fans will see a presence from youth female players from college and NCAA Division I levels, as well as players who have played on a variety of national teams and World Cup teams, including a number of current and former players from the Girls Elite program.
“The Sounders vs. Whitecaps FC rivalry has so much history,” said Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite head coach Jesse Symons. “Both clubs are providing great foundations for soccer in the Northwest. Whitecaps FC are very dedicated to developing female soccer players and we look forward to the opportunity.”
