'Caps visit BC Children's Hospital

Hospital visit

Last week members of Vancouver Whitecaps FC visited BC Children’s Hospital, including president Bob Lenarduzzi, head coach Martin Rennie, goalkeeper Brad Knighton, striker Sebastien Le Toux, club ambassador Carl Valentine, and mascot Spike.

The ‘Caps started with a visit to the playroom, taking part in a variety of activities included colouring, foosball, and playing FIFA 12.

Coach Rennie and the players then made their way through the hospital and were particularly touched to find many ‘Caps supporters in the various rooms they visited. Among the patients was a little girl who was a player escort last year at the inaugural match at BC Place versus Portland Timbers.

Whitecaps FC would like to thank all the staff and patients at BC Children’s Hospital for inviting us over!
