VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC, in conjunction with Major League Soccer, announced today the schedule for the 2013 MLS Reserve League season. Whitecaps FC reserves will play eight matches against Western Conference sides, kicking off at the University of British Columbia's (UBC) Thunderbird Stadium against Real Salt Lake on Sunday, April 14. Vancouver will also play two games versus Richmond Kickers, as part of Major League Soccer's multi-year partnership with United Soccer Leagues (USL) Pro.
The ‘Caps will play four home matches at Thunderbird Stadium. The venue for the home match against Seattle Sounders FC on July 7 is to be confirmed.
In addition to the 10 official Reserve League matches, Whitecaps FC will play a number of exhibition matches against local university and club teams. Vancouver is currently scheduled to visit the University of Victoria on Saturday, March 16, and additional matches will be confirmed in the near future.
