VANCOUVER WHITECAPS FC

Whitecaps FC Reserves enter Tuesday's scrimmage coming off of their first match of the 2013 MLS Reserve League season, a 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake Reserves at Thunderbird Stadium on Sunday. Left back Jordan Harvey - who was wearing the captain's armband - and winger Erik Hurtado had the goals for the home side.


The result was the fifth straight victory for the 'Caps Reserves, which has included matches against the University of Victoria (3-0), Simon Fraser University (3-1), FC Edmonton (4-2), and Trinity Western University (6-1).


UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON

Led by head coach Jamie Clark, the Huskies enter their spring season after a 13W-5L-2D record last season which ended with a 4-2 defeat to Creighton in the second round of the NCAA tournament.


A number of former Huskies have been drafted to MLS, including centre back George John of FC Dallas, who the 'Caps play on Saturday.

Following Tuesday's scrimmage, the next scheduled match for Whitecaps FC Reserves is on Tuesday, May 7 when they travel to Commerce City, Colorado to take on Colorado Rapids Reserves at Dick's Sporting Goods Park Field #20. Kickoff will be at 9 a.m. PT.
