SOUNDERS FC

Seattle have endured a torrid time this season as the team currently find themselves bottom of the West Division standings with a 2W-6L-1D record.

Last time out they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of United Soccer Leagues (USL) PRO side Orlando City. After conceding in the first minute, Seattle let in a second before halftime and couldn’t find a response in front of a crowd of 10,697 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida.

Sounder FC have two matches remaining after Monday’s tussle with Real Salt Lake visiting Starfire Sports Complex before the Rave Green finish up with what promises to be a feisty affair away at Portland Timbers.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

The last meeting between the sides was an entertaining encounter which showcased some of the ‘Caps up and coming youngsters. Sam Adekugbe, Marco Bustos and Kianz Froese all played the full match with Adekugbe notching a goal and an assist in a rampant 4-0 victory over the Sounders while Bustos grabbed another two assists.

With all the goals coming in the second half, winger Erik Hurtado opened the scoring before Adekugbe’s strike. Heinemann sealed the win with two goals late in the game.
