Fantasy Forecast: Round 30

FantasyForecast30

Another international week comes to an end and fantasy managers can finally breathe a sigh of relief.
With another double game week upon us (Chicago Fire & Toronto FC), normally managers get excited at the prospect of a multitude of points. Unfortunately this time out that may not be the case, especially with Chicago Fire nursing an injured Mike Magee ($9.8m) and Toronto FC continuing to struggle for points.
Steven Caldwell ($4.9m), Toronto FC
– This is a stretch if we've ever offered one. Even playing two games in one week managers are left wondering if it's even worth picking Toronto players, let alone spending four points on a transfer to acquire them. If you absolute must have a player from this squad, Caldwell is the only option we see fit. You can probably hope to see 180 minutes from the defender, but don't expect much more.
Sean Johnson ($5.5m), Chicago Fire
– Mr. Johnson has two favourable opponents this week. First up is a struggling Toronto FC, followed by a massive six point match at home versus New England Revolution. Fresh off a penalty kick save against Seattle, Johnson's confidence will likely be high. We've captained him for this week as we feel he's a safe pick and anticipate at least one shutout.
Team of the week, Montreal Impact
– The Impact are undefeated in four games and sitting on top of the Eastern Conference. Montreal has been riding high at the moment and have some favourable matchups on the horizon. Two of the next three matches are at home, with their next four opponents all residing in the bottom half off their respective conferences.
Marco Di Vaio ($9.2m)
-  Leading MLS in goals scored at 17, with 13 coming from home matches, he's a must have over the next few weeks. Every fantasy manager requires a player of his calibre week in and out.
Patrice Bernier ($7.7m)
- The man in the middle, has been running the show lately. Two goals and two assists in four matches. He's the man to step up and take the shot whenever a penalty kick gets called, so there's a high chance he'll be adding more to his tally over the next while.
